We next spent two nights in Thomas H. Raddall Provincial Park in Port Joli, Nova Scotia on the southern coast. We did quite a bit of hiking down beautiful forest paths to the ocean. Lovely flowers and moss and gorgeous beaches. The water in the northern part of the park had the most direct Atlantic Ocean contact so was very cold - like the numbing waters of Maine. However, the water was warm enough in the southern beach for me to actually jump in and swim a bit!

We met a very nice local couple on the beach and spent a long time talking there learning about the area and answering their questions about the U.S. They have invited us to come stay with them on our trip back. The people here are so nice. Bill says everyone is happy because they are on vacation.  I certainly can understand that!
